Nerdy Frames LLC makes handmade acetate prescription eyewear and sells it online at nerdyframes.com. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
In this policy, "Nerdy Frames," "we," "us," and "our" mean Nerdy Frames LLC. We operate out of New York City and Cleveland, and our mailing address is 27300 Center Ridge Rd, # 45294, Westlake, OH 44145. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising.
We collect information in a few ways:
We do not run advertising, and we do not use your information for targeted ads.
A cookie is a small file your browser stores and sends back to us on each visit. It is how the site recognizes you between one page and the next. The cookies we set fall into three groups.
These run the store, and the site cannot work without them. They keep you signed in, hold the contents of your shopping cart and your Home Try-On selection while you shop, carry your lens and prescription choices through checkout, process your payment through Stripe, and let Cloudflare tell real visitors apart from automated traffic. Blocking these will break signing in, adding to cart, and checking out.
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they use, and where our traffic comes from, so we know what is worth building and what is not. These cookies record how the site is used. They do not carry your name, address, or payment details.
A small number of cookies remember choices you have already made, such as dismissing a notice, so we do not show you the same thing repeatedly.
We do not use advertising or ad-targeting cookies, and we do not sell your information. You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings at any time, though the essential group above is what makes the store function.
Our free pupillary distance tool stores your measurement in your browser for the length of your visit so it can fill itself in when you order. It is cleared when you close the tab, and it is not sent to us unless you save it to an account.
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed to do so:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services, meet our legal and tax obligations, and resolve any disputes. Order history and prescriptions may be kept longer as part of our legal and business records.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including a security stack on our site and encrypted payment processing through Stripe. No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Our site may link to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies before sharing information with them.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated, and changes take effect once they are posted.

Nerdy Frames LLCUnfortunately, we don't have any direct partnerships with vision insurance providers, but we can assist you in getting a reimbursement for your purchase after you have paid in full at the time of purchase. In order to be reimbursed, you will first need to fill out a form from your insurance provider. After you fill out their reimbursement form, you will need to provide an itemized receipt, which we can provide you with once you have completed your purchase. We've provided some links below of popular vision insurance providers to help you get started.
Please contact your vision insurance for more information on how to file for a reimbursement.
If you have any question or you need an itemized receipt, please email us at [email protected]
We accept both FSA and HSA payments, as long as they are in the form of a credit or debit card. After you have had completed a purchase with your FSA/HSA, you can then file for a reimbursement with your vision insurance provider.
