Best-Selling Nerdy Frames of January 2025
This month’s best-selling eyeglasses at Nerdy Frames are—drum roll, please—Lorimer, Samu, and Bor. The frames were tried on the most via our virtual try-on. It’s not a surprise that the Lorimer tops the list, as it’s the most classic and sought-after shape out there. The aviator shape is one of the most classic and well-suited for a lot of face shapes.
The Samu came in second. It topped our list for the first time. It was tried on more than the Lorimer this month. That surprised us.
Last but not least is the Bor. With its clean lines, we’re not surprised—it’s a classic as well.
What Makes These Eyeglasses the best?
Let’s dive into what makes these frames the top picks this month, in our opinion.
Lorimer is our best-selling frame. It first launched in 2017 with a thinner version. We introduce V2 last year, and it’s been a hit. We beefed up the temples and added small touches to the frame front without losing its essence. A classic aviator with balanced features—not too droopy, not too wide—we designed it to work with a lot of face shapes. A lot of competitors copied our Lorimer. Just check it side by side, and you’ll see.
The Samu is a new addition to our core group. It also fits a lot of face shapes with its straight-line top and rounded bottom while keeping sharp lines. It’s modern and bold. Its frame front has a recessed detail leading to the temples, and its exposed temple wires made it a best-selling pair of eyeglasses.
The Bor is a favorite. Classic rectangular frame styled for clients looking to add a clean and timeless look. We added small details to the temples and nose bridge to make it pop. It’s lightweight, and we included durable spring hinges to allow it to fit a variety of face sizes.
